Stipula has introduced another titanium nib Etruria series called Rainbow. These piston fill demonstrator pens feature an extremely soft titanium nib that increases ink flow, as you increase pressure on the nib. The large capacity reservoir holds a large quantity of ink, maximizing writing time. The pen feels solid and balanced in your hand, giving an impression of fine Italian design and craftsmanship. Priced at $365, this pen is available in red, green and blue.

One of the things we take the most pride in is our reflection of New Orleans in the store. We love to represent the Crescent City and all of its culture- its alligators and architecture, its magnolias and great oaks, its festivals and Saints and shotgun houses. This week, we join our city in one of its most prevailing characteristics: resilience. We want everyone to know that both of Scriptura’s locations survived Hurricane Isaac and are up and running. New Orleans, we celebrate you.

Scriptura bride Riley Russell shares about her real wedding experience:

As soon as I saw the field of oak trees, I knew it was where I wanted to get married.  It was the “ah ha” moment that every bride knows and appreciates, the moment when you begin to actually see a mental picture of the wedding day. I smiled and said to my fiancé, “This is it.”

After we had booked the venue, Scriptura quickly adopted the oak tree theme and turned our vision of a plantation wedding into a reality on paper. I was thrilled to find the letterpress oak tree symbol and, with Margaret’s guidance, we centered the layout of our invitation around it. The result was absolutely perfect and we received numerous comments on the beauty of our invitation.

Scriptura had effectively created a symbol that encapsulated my original “ah ha” vision. Before our guests ever saw the details of our wedding, they opened our invitation. The brilliant graphic design highlighted two aspects of the page that first caught the eye: the names of the bride and groom and the oak tree. Immediately, mental links were formed that gave shape and continuity to the wedding. Rob and Riley’s wedding- oak trees. Oak trees- elegant, natural, timeless, organic. We mailed our invitations knowing that our guests would open them and receive a glimpse into our upcoming wedding.

As I reflect on the sweetest day of my life, I am thankful still for visual representation that Scriptura so wonderfully created; two people committed in love, sharing a ceremony under the oaks.

We at Scriptura love all things stationery and see many customers who come into the store looking for their own box of cards or notes. While we adore the sets that we sell from companies such as Cranes and G.Lalo, we would always advocate that customers go one step further and choose to personalize their stationery by printing a name, monogram, return address or motif. In hopes that all of our clients will fall in love with customization as much as we have, we’ve put together a short list of reasons why we love personalized stationery. Enjoy!

1. Personalized stationery leaves an impression. It’s useful and important in business or academic situations when you want the recipient to remember you. For example, a job applicant who sends a personalized thank-you note to their interviewer has left a written impression and opened doors for future references or connections.

2. Personalized stationery lets you display your personality. Because the variety of colors, sizes, papers, envelope liners, typestyles and printing processes is endless, personalized stationery can represent you in whichever way you choose.

3. Personalized stationery makes you want to write more. When you feel confident about what you’re sending, you’ll be excited for others to receive it and written notes will become a fun pasttime (in the words of one customer, “I tried so hard to think of more people to write because I wanted to use my stationery more!”).

4. Personalized stationery is just more convenient. Having your name on the card and your address on the envelope is a time-saver!
